A conversation about whiteness, motherhood, neurodivergence, & authenticity
Listen to my interview with Spicy Soul Mama herself
Last week,
interviewed me for her podcast . I love podcasts, and who wouldn’t want to be interviewed by the Spicy Soul Mama herself?Shelley is a writer, mindfulness guide, and mom to two neurodivergent kids. As you can imagine, we went DEEP, which is how I like it. (Cue the “that’s what she said” jokes.)
Naturally, I LOVED our conversation.
We talked about whiteness and white culture, searching for roots, not conforming while still belonging, what it means to live in truth, and how our neurospicy children inspire us.
You can watch the interview below, or, if podcasts are your thing, listen at the link below that.

Summer
Summer! I watched the interview, there is just something about watching people engage in this type of media that pulls you so much closer into their world. Thanks for sharing! Towards the end of the interview you both mentioned how things have kind of returned to what they were pre-pandemic. I couldn't agree more! Just when you think the world has collectively come together to step back and take a deep breath, you no sooner find everyone fighting to be next in line again. It feels so heavy at times. You are right about there being so many lessons to be learned from the "elders." If we could only get people to step back and take that deep breath again...hope is eternal, right!
Deep. 🤓
