Thank you so much for making me laugh in the midst of all the craziness in the world. I love the photo of the cairn and the picture of your daughter drinking tea (or maybe just Coke) is so wonderful. A perfect mixture of mischievousness and a cute, prim pose. I want to frame it. It just delights me.
the time spent with your son after the hell of your school year...my heart was so joyous for you. may your summer, Summer, be filled with many such nourishing moments (as well as all the other ones mentioned) as we continue in these unnavigable times. (oh and i've been watching some of the sessions from SAND'S (Science and Nonduality) The Eternal Song series, so powerful...the trailer even is well worth watching to catch a glimpse that there is something else fermenting, something wise...) big hugs.
Omg THANK YOU for telling me about this! I need to watch. When we talk about replacing the existing paradigm "with what?" they ask, I always think of Indigenous wisdom. Ancestral wisdom. Indigeneity came from all races, all places - just that some are closer to their traditional ways than others. Thanks as always, Anne!
" freeing our minds from stories, resisting the urge to create narratives out of every situation, allows us to experience greater peace and happiness."
I just love your writing, Summer. You seem to have a balance I seek that lets you rage and Tank Girl and give ‘em hell and then go skipping through a patch of flowers humming and smiling and singing (unless your daughter’s along. Then just skipping and humming—softly).
Love the meandering because that’s life, right? Also, capturing nature for balance is a must.
Oh yes, nature is so good at Balance. Something definitely like to take from her. Thank you!
What a refreshing mind and body ramble...hold on lightly, maybe the mantra that is enough to weave a path by...thanks Summer
Thank you, Frank. It’s been my mantra lately. Hold onto everything lightly.

Ha ha ha! That’s one of the sweetest things anyone’s ever said to me thank you so much, Bill 🌼
Love this little rainy burb. Art and community thrive like moss in the rain. Thanks for this sweet stroll through some beautiful Juneau moments.
Thanks Clay! And you have to go check out that library if you haven’t already ✨
